Who I Am
My name is Stuart Hayes. I am a Professional CEO and Leadership Trainer who specialises in leading businesses through out of the ordinary circumstances such as rapid growth (including start-up), owner’s exit (including succession), financial stress (including turnaround or business recovery) and start-up.
During the past past 15 years I have acted as an Interim CEO, COO or CFO during the turnaround or start-up of businesses in Australia, England and Asia and worked with clients and partners ranging from Australian based entrepreneurs, families and business owners to the governments, Royal Families and multinational service organisations such as Deloitte, KPMG and Andersen.
There is no doubt - teaching emerging leaders and guiding businesses successfully through difficult or changing circumstances is my passion!

What I Do
Both as a leader and as a Trainer, I am highly outcome focused. I work closely with or on behalf of business Owners in these times to increase or protect company value and to identify & implement strategies that achieve expansion, reorganisation or invigoration plans as targeted.
Why I Do It
From a very early time in my life, I have held a passion for leadership.
Looking back, I guess this was mostly driven by the sporting legends and movie characters I followed as a boy - cricketers & football players frequently, as team leaders, but also individual athletes, courageous characters & heroes, as people.
My passion for learning about and studying leaders, training and developing new leaders and for leading enterprises and groups evolved… problems and all.
There is no doubt, I have been privileged to watch and learn from some great leaders in my career. It is absolutely true however, that I have made some HUGE mistakes, lost a lot of money and placed valuable relationships under stress during this time.
I am grateful for BOTH of these areas of learning and I hope I can pass on some of them to others: the world is short of strong leaders after all.
